The course "Sustainable foundations of green hydrogen technologies and infrastructure" provides a comprehensive understanding of the sustainable foundations of green hydrogen technologies, from production and storage to transportation and infrastructure reliability. It integrates principles of sustainable engineering, materials science, energy systems, and lifecycle assessment to develop systemic thinking about hydrogen’s role in the low-carbon transition.
The purpose of the course is to form in students a deep interdisciplinary understanding of hydrogen as a key vector in the sustainable energy transition and to develop practical competencies in designing, assessing, and maintaining hydrogen systems in accordance with sustainability and safety standards.
The subject of study is physical, chemical, technological, and material-science foundations of hydrogen energy systems; their lifecycle impacts; and engineering solutions ensuring safe and sustainable operation.
